Leo the dog was a victim of road rage.
He was grabbed from his vehicle by a SUV driver and
tossed into traffic.
Leo was hit and killed by a minivan.
The animal abuser who threw Leo to his death was
caught 14 months after the incident. He was sentenced
to 3 years in prison, the maximum penalty for animal
cruelty, and ordered to pay $2400 in fines and restitution.
He, at the time of sentencing, was also facing grand theft
and weapons charges in another case.
